"I recommend this course 100%. Ruth is a true ambassador for soap making and so passionate about her craft. You cannot fail to walk away feeling inspired and more knowledgable. The day was well structured, organised and in a great location. We learnt about the history of soap making and information on the current cold process used in hand made soap today. There was plenty of opportunity for hands on practical experience and for me this was very exciting. There were also 3 lovely ladies in addition to me on the course and we all had a fab time. At the end of the day we took away our creations which I have to say looked great. Thanks Ruth - you are an inspiration."
"Thank you Ruth for teaching me how to make soap! Loved everything about this course - well organised, excellent clear tuition, lovely venue with space and natural light, delicious lunch, met some lovely people and came away with lots of lovely soap, instructions to use at home and the confidence to carry on making (I am busy collecting my supplies and deciding on which recipes to try next!). I would highly recommend this course, so glad I attended."
"A fun and very informative course with lots of hands-on experience. Highly recommended. It was great to have an understanding of the history as well as the technical aspects to soap-making before we started and Ruth was very patient and clear in her instructions once she let us loose with the ingredients! Keeping the numbers small helped as we were able to try our hand at everything and Ruth was able to move between the groups to assist when we needed it.
It truly is amazing just what you can put into a soap to make it personal and fragranced just how you like. We made several different varieties and then shared them between us at the end of the day so we all had a bit of everything. Just waiting for them to finish 'setting' now so I can start using them. Thanks again for a lovely day, Ruth!"
